Bought this bike when I was stationed at dover afb because my other bikes were back home in texas. I have pretty much changed everything on the bike, but that isn't something out of the ordinary for me to do to all my bikes.
The bike has held up really well. I bought the state carbon fork for it and that alone took almost 2.5 pounds off the bike since it was a steel fork stock. I have Easton carbon bars 31.8 width at 44cm at 205g, zipp service course sl 25.4 carbon seat post with 20mm offset, specialized sworks romin evo saddle, zipp service course sl 90mm stem, shimano ultergra r8000 rim brakes(stock brakes are trash), shimao road brake levers, wolftooth seatpost clamp, wolf tooth headset spacers, upgraded to the state black label cranks since they're lighter and look better. 28c pereli tires.
The rims it comes with are ok, they have put up to some abuse but together both rims are over 6 pounds with tires and tubes installed.
I recommend getting a lighter set if you like to go fast like me, but if it's just a small commuter bike then they're fine.
The bars and stem alone were literally almost the price of the entire bike. The sworks saddle was the same price as the entire bike stock. Bikes are personal, I love making my bikes fit me exactly how I want with the parts I want. Im 6'2" at 220 so I ride the 58cm. I honestly prefer steel frame because I put my bike through the works. I'll take it on lite trails and hop curbs so for my size and weight having the steel frame makes me feel less worried about the frame. I even bought internal routing plugs to make the brake cables internal.
If I get another state I would proper buy the undefeated II frame and build it up with lighter wheels. I would be easier on it but lighter is def better.
Overall, great bike.
