This is my first fixed gear, it feels good and is nice and light with style to match. Got a brown leather saddle bag to match. Solid bike

Been riding for many years and many different manufacturers. Riding is my way to escape and find solace. The state single speed takes me there quickly and efficiently, i think i smiled the first mile. Great bike and great company, really respect what your are doing. Is it perfect, no, but i have had 5000 dollar bikes with annoying issues. It’s freaking blast to ride, i did not want stop. Setting up the bike was a breeze, put my truing skills to the test. Keep riding and building great bikes!

Great color, great bike, rides smooth. Although, the rims are delicate so make sure you don't fall off, because my partner fell and his rim is now dented and wobbly. User error though!

I received it and assembled it for the most part before taking it to a shop. They said the wheels weren’t trued from factory so it would have to be done there. And the inner tubes were pretty thin so I got thicker puncture-resistant ones. Both services are standard maintenance procedures, so I’m ok with it, but it would be nice if wheels were true from factory. Bike fits great and rides like a rocketship!!!!

The 4130 Steel Line earned its namesake from the double-butted 4130-grade chromoly steel used on the frame and fork that maximizes strength without making compromises on weight. Internal cable routing, seat stay rack mounts, water bottle cage mounts, a flip-flop hub, and integrated chain tensioners provide versatility while maintaining the clean aesthetic State Bicycle Co. is known for. Drilled high-flange hubs, an open faceplate stem, and the CNC’d seat post clamp not only look great but also help to shave some additional weight.
The latest 4130 Steel Line models feature a subtle but stylish ‘STATE’ logo on the down tube and an updated ‘SBC’ head tube logo. Limited production runs, designer color ways not seen anywhere else, and the ability to customize your bike by selecting your handlebar style all combine to make sure you have a bike as unique as you are.
