Statutory Right of Withdrawal
EU consumers have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal for eligible online purchases. You may withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving your order without providing any reason.
- The withdrawal period begins on the date you receive the goods.
- The 14-day period is calculated in calendar days.
- If the period ends on a non-working day, it extends to the next working day where applicable.
Condition of Returned Goods
Returned bicycles, parts and accessories must be complete and handled with due care. Products may only be handled and inspected to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
- Bicycles must not be ridden outdoors or used for commuting, training or regular riding.
- All components, accessories, manuals and other supplied items must be included with the return.
- Products should be returned in their original packaging and must be securely packaged for return transport.
- Any use, damage, missing parts or handling beyond what is necessary for inspection may result in a deduction from the refund for diminished value.
- Where applicable, State Bicycle Co. may deduct the objectively justified diminished value caused by handling or use beyond what is necessary for inspection.
Returning Your Goods
To exercise your right of withdrawal:
- Notify State Bicycle Co. by emailing info@statebicycle.eu within the 14-day withdrawal period. Include your name, order number and a clear statement that you wish to withdraw from the purchase.
- Return the goods within 14 days of notifying us. The goods must be complete and securely packaged for return transport.
- For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for arranging and paying the direct cost of returning the goods.
Refund Processing
State Bicycle Co. will reimburse eligible payments within 14 days after being informed of your decision to withdraw. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or you have provided evidence that the goods have been sent back, whichever occurs first.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
- Any applicable deduction for diminished value may be deducted from the refund.
- The customer bears the direct return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Necessary return costs for defective or non-conforming goods are covered by State Bicycle Co. where required by applicable law.
Exceptions to the 14-Day Withdrawal Right
The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply where an applicable legal exception exists, including:
- Custom-built or made-to-order bicycles manufactured to the customer's individual specifications.
- Personalized products.
- Products materially modified specifically according to the customer's individual requirements.
- Other products excluded from the right of withdrawal under applicable consumer law.
Faulty, Defective, or Damaged Goods
If you receive a bicycle or product that is faulty, defective, not as described or damaged during shipping, please contact us as soon as possible.
- EU consumers benefit from the applicable statutory legal guarantee for non-conforming goods.
- Available remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
- Necessary costs associated with an applicable remedy for defective or non-conforming goods are covered by State Bicycle Co. where required by law.
How to Report Damaged or Defective Goods:
Contact info@statebicycle.eu with your name, order number, photographs of the affected parts, photographs of any packaging damage and a detailed description of the issue.
Warranty & Professional Assembly Requirement
State Bicycle Co. offers a five-year manufacturer's warranty against manufacturer's defects on bicycle frames and forks, subject to the applicable warranty conditions.
- The manufacturer's warranty applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
- Manufacturer's defects do not include damage resulting from improper use, incorrect assembly, accidents or lack of maintenance.
- The five-year warranty excludes Essor USA brand carbon fiber forks, which carry a two-year manufacturer's warranty against manufacturer's defects.
Non-Consumable Parts
State Bicycle Co. offers a one-year manufacturer's warranty against manufacturer's defects on non-consumable parts and accessories.
Three Easy Steps to Activation:
- Arrange for your bicycle to be professionally assembled by a qualified bicycle mechanic.
- Ask the mechanic to provide proof of professional assembly, such as a receipt.
- Use the 'Register Your Bike' link below to submit your warranty registration information.

Cancelled Orders (Pre-Shipment)
Orders cancelled before shipment will be refunded in full with no cancellation charges. Once an order has been dispatched, the applicable withdrawal and return procedures apply.
